Agreement to terms
By downloading, installing, or using Itsyhome, you agree to be bound by these terms of service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.
Description of service
Itsyhome is a free, open source macOS application that provides a menu bar interface for controlling HomeKit-compatible smart home devices. The app requires macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later and a configured Apple Home setup.
License
Itsyhome is released under the MIT License. You are free to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the software, subject to the conditions of the MIT License. The full license text is available in the GitHub repository.
Disclaimer of warranties
Itsyhome is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the app is with you.
Limitation of liability
In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise, arising from, out of, or in connection with the app or the use or other dealings in the app. This includes, but is not limited to, any damages resulting from the control of smart home devices.
Smart home device control
Itsyhome allows you to control your HomeKit-compatible devices. You acknowledge and agree that:
- You are solely responsible for the devices you control through the app
- You should exercise caution when controlling security devices such as locks and garage doors
- The app relies on Apple's HomeKit framework and your local network for device communication
- Device availability and responsiveness depend on your HomeKit setup and network conditions
Third-party services
Itsyhome uses Apple's HomeKit framework to communicate with your smart home devices. Your use of HomeKit is subject to Apple's terms and conditions. We are not responsible for the availability, functionality, or security of HomeKit or any third-party smart home devices.
Changes to the app
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the app at any time without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the app.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
